The Washita Theatre
Located at 111 S. Market St.
Several years ago over $142,000 was spent on the theatre for remodeling including THX sound system.

It is unclear to this writer just when it was build. My best guess is in the 1940's. The theatre has been open and closed a few times since then.

The City of Cordell is the current owner.

Lee Park
This beautiful park is located only a couple of blocks from the Courthouse Square.

Recently the public helped the Kiwanis Club build a great playground for the younger set.

The park is also a venue for various events such as the Easter Egg Hunt, Cruise Night, Pumpkin Festival, and several other events sponsored by The Cordell Chamber of Commerce, churches, School and others.

The  park also features a large covered pavilion for the communities needs.

The Washita Museum
Located at 105 1st St.

This interesting museum is 2 floors of history. Lots of pictures, antique tools, and artifacts you may have never seen before.

Limited hours, but worth setting up an appointment, if necessary, to view this glimpse into the past and how people actually lived without a cell phone.
